MORE ABOUT OUR PUPPY CLASSES
Puppies have a critical socialization period to the outside world starting at roughly 5 weeks of age and ending at 16 weeks. Our classes are designed to maximize our time by combining socialization and learning.
Our Puppy Essentials classes are for puppies under 20 weeks and are limited to 6 puppies and their families. Our Manners classes are for adolescent and older dogs and are limited to 6 dogs. All family members are urged to participate and our current virtual offerings make this even easier!
Most classes meet for 6 one-hour sessions.
Depending on your puppy/dog's age, classes include appropriate levels of the following:
TRAINING FUNDAMENTALS & COMMON PUPPY ISSUES:
How to deal with common issues: nipping, chewing, jumping, barking
Diet & exercise
Handling at the vet and groomer
House training & crate training
Appropriate socialization & play skills
Polite manners: sit, down, trade, and more
Coming when called
Walking nicely on a leash

OUR GOALS AND METHODS:
All our classes are rooted in the use of positive reinforcement methods
We show you how to apply what you learn in class to your everyday life
Start training from the very first lesson! You’ll receive all the necessary tools to get your pup to practice lots of great behavior starting with the first lesson.
Our positive reinforcement trainers and assistants make sure each puppy is having a good experience and learning at their own pace.
We offer email support between classes for questions that can't wait until the next class.
We give you a comprehensive training manual that includes everything covered and more.
Train your pup without ever leaving home!
All of our trainers have experience working with clients via virtual sessions. We have found this mode of teaching to be very successful for dogs and clients, no matter what issues need to be addressed.
We’ve created strategies to simulate the in-person experience to achieve concrete results.
We’ll see you interact with your dog, coach you, review videos together, and give you information and techniques both during the session and after.
As always, we’ll provide an email follow-up so you can continue the work we started.

PUPPY ESSENTIALS ONLINE
For puppies under 20 weeks of age at the start of class sessions. Everything you and your puppy need to know to survive the early months in 6 one-hour sessions.
This class also includes FREE supplemental in-person Puppy Socials! These occur on the fourth Saturday of each month at Dogtopia on Myrtle Ave (504 Myrtle Ave) in Brooklyn.
Thursdays at 6pm ET:
Meets on: 3/27, 4/3, 4/10, (skip 4/17), 4/24, 5/1, 5/8
